Murray Seitz Art

Art has a unique way of making us pause. Whether it’s the quiet resilience of a dandelion catching the afternoon sun, the sudden burst of energy in a field of wildflowers, or the deep, silent
presence of a landscape, my goal as an artist is to capture those fleeting moments and translate them into lasting visual stories.

I am Murray Seitz, and the vibrant pieces you see in this gallery are a reflection of how I view the
world—full of unexpected texture, rich color, and untamed energy.

My Creative Process & Inspiration

My work spans from expressive floral collections like Flower Power and Dandelions to deeply personal
portraits, rugged landscapes and "lighthearted pictures " like Jasper, to a bear having a bubble bath in a forest.  I don't just paint what a subject looks like; I paint how it feels.

Working primarily with oil on canvas, I lean into bold brushstrokes and strong color contrasts. I want the texture to be alive on the surface so that when a piece hangs on your wall, it changes
with the morning and evening light, constantly offering something new to look at.

Bringing Art Into Your Home

For me, a painting isn't truly finished until it finds its final home. There is something incredibly rewarding
about knowing a piece of my work is adding warmth to a living room, sparking conversation in a dining space, or bringing a sense of calm to a busy office.

When you collect a piece of my art, you aren't just buying canvas and paint—you are bringing a piece of that
creative energy, passion, and intentionality into your everyday life.

Each painting is unique in itself as I have written a poem for each painting I have created. Each oil painting has inspired myself to write a poem about it and how I feel when I look at it. To date I have written over 25 poems of all my paintings. I hope you enjoy the poems as much as the painting  itself.
