                 FLOWER POWER

A morning dew gives my leaves a gentle kiss,

they awaken in me what I often miss.

Oh, loving rain, where have you been?

I've searched for you, afar and within.

Gentle rays, cast your spell,

for I yearn for your warmth to dwell.

My stems have grown with a graceful look,

reaching out of mother earth, they shook.

My leaves begin to shimmer and shine,

this beauty-so divine.

A gift I bring for all to see,

to gaze upon and quietly think of me.
